The ‘Try-Ons’ series from Nike Sportswear has shown us a bunch of Swoosh staples in a sort of ‘blank’ form as you might start from on NIKEiD. The Nike Air Max 1 ‘Try-On’ was an immediate sell out upon its all-grey debut this February, and here’s another Eighty-Seven that’s sure to be gone quicker than you can say, “Suede n mesh.” These AM1s are simply superb in a mix of greys with a smaller-than-Mariah grid on the toe and ankle collar and they go even further thanks to the classic look from a gum sole. Possibly the best Air Max 1 since Patta and Parra got to tag teamin’, these joints are available for pre-order and expected to ship next month from CT.

The 2010 U.S. Open in Flushing, NY began not long ago, so in keeping with topical sports news, this week’s Sneaker News Classics Revisited features the
Nike Air Tech Challenge Future of 1993. Back in the early 90’s the sport of tennis was electrified by Andre Agassi, who stuck out like a sore thumb with his long wavy locks, bright tennis gear, and of course, his Nikes. The Nike Air Tech Challenge series featured a number of tennis-court specific designs, with a Mid cut, visible Air cushioning, and most notably its super-bright colorblocking, but the Air Tech Challenge Future was a clear aberration to the historic tennis/trainer line as it veered toward Huarache styling – perhaps an explanation of the inclusion of ‘Future’ in the name. To check out a great gallery of this rare and vintage pair of Nike classics, head on over to
Sneaker News HD for the entire Classics Revisited feature.

Did you pick up a pair of the
Nike Air Trainer Max ‘91 2010 Retro? The OG Grey/Yellow pair re-released not long ago in a wide release and although it can be argued that these aren’t the most popular of the Nike Air Trainers of the Cross-Trainer era, the
Trainer Max ‘91 is certainly an honored classic. Here’s the return of another OG colorway – the black/white “Raiders” colorway. The upper features black on the nubuck upper as well as the neoprene tongue and achilles padding with white on the swoosh, heel, and outsole traction. These just released at
Eastbay so continue reading for a closer look at this Trainer Retro and let us know which re-released colorway you like the best.Buy it at
